Exmouth Photo Group are resurecting and hosting this event, the last time we met for both the prints and digital images was in 2019 when Torbay hosted. We did manage to have a Zoom battle in 2022 but with digital images only.
So put your thinking caps on, come up with some different panels and compete against Devons Clubs for the Print Panel Award - The Lumb Perpetual Trophy for the best club panel plus The Lumb Perpetual Trophy for the best set of digital images from a club.
There is also individual Image Awards 1st place will get the Dawlish and Teignmouth Camera Club Plaque.
It is always a very enjoyable day, providing the opportunity to view some of the best club photography in Devon, and to meet members of other clubs in the area.
Details of this year's competition will be to set up in the morning , we will then clear the hall and invite the judge to view the prints and break for lunch. The presentation by the judge will be in the afternoon, with refreshments at the break between the two competitions.
As usual there will be a print and digital section and clubs may enter either one or both:
1. A panel of five prints with a common theme or style, in colour or monochrome or both, must fit on a 4ft x 4ft board which clubs must supply. Clubs may cover the board with a background material if they wish, but this must be a single colour only.
2. Five digitally projected images, 1600 pixels wide (max) by 1200 pixels high (max) and saved as a JPEG. No common theme is required for this set of images. Smaller images are acceptable but will be projected smaller on the screen
