South Devon League Digital & Print Battle
Season 2013 to 2014
The South Devon League Battles are between Dawlish & Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Crediton and ourselves. We have two battles a season, the Print Battle in either November or December and the Digital Battle sometime in the spring. Each club enters 15 prints and 15 digital images for each of the competitions. We are not allowed more than 2 images from the same photographer.
For the season 2013 to 2014 Exmouth Photo Group has regained the cup, we managed to be the winners in both the print and digital sections and all the results and images are below.
Print Interclub Battle: Club entries for the Print Battle held on the 22 November 2013 which we hosted and the judge was Penny Piddock from Dorchester. The scores for each club were Crediton 203 points, Dawlish & Teignmouth 215 points, Newton Abbot 227 points and Exmouth 235 points. Getting both 2nd and 3rd places gave us that extra boost to be in the lead at this stage.
Digital Interclub Battle: Club Digital Battle was held on the 25 March 2014 and Newton Abbot hosted the event and the judge was Brian Galbraith from Wadebridge. The scores for each club were 175 for Dawlish & Teignmouth, 191 to Crediton, 207 to Newton Abbot and 210 to Exmouth.
Total scores for the season - 390 to Dawlish, 394 to Crediton, 434 to Newton Abbot and 445 to Exmouth. We managed to get 2nd and 3rd places in the Print battle and a 1st place in the Digital Section
