Summary

 

The Photo Entry System will be used for all types of competitions and events, i.e. Set Subjects, Summer Challenge, Monthly Competitions, Panels and even Show and Tell.  Our Competition Secretary will be setting up every competition/event at the beginning of the season where possible.  They will all be named with the appropriate Topic/Competition/Title and have a closing date.   

 

We  now use the Photo Entry system, which will manage  future entries. Very briefly, it is a modern way for you to upload your images directly  into competitions, and no longer uses emails or zip files etc.  It also prepares the entries ready for the actual competition, including running order lists for judges. PhotoEntry isn't new, and it is used by many clubs.

If for some reason the Competition Secretary does not have the all the competitions ready for the beginning of the season he/she will inform you when they are ready and will also be sending out reminders when it is near to a closing date.

Therefore if you are going to be away or have your entries ready for any of the competitions, you could, if you wish, enter them all in one go!!!!   Don't worry if you enter early and change your mind, you can always go into the competition providing it isn't closed and change the entry.

There may be specific instructions attached to each competition -  for instance "the Summer Challenge will have 4 subjects listed but only allowing 1 image per subject.​​​​

External Competitions
 

Because The Competition Administrator  of Photo Entry system is always looking  for prints and dpi images that  can be used in External Competitions, we have created a permanent item called Images for External Competitions. At the beginning of a new season very often the Selection Committee have little to choose from because members are saving their images for competitions.

Please use the Images for External Competitions  whenever you like. Please indicate with the letter " P"  if you have this image already printed.   The competition secretary will not remove but take copies and if the selection committee wish to use any of your images in that folder, you will be contacted and asked if it is ok to use for a particular competition. ​​​​

Instructions On How to Enter and Sign In

To enter any of the competitions you Click on  Login to Photo Entry.  This is where you either register or sign in to set up your Password and ID.  For New Members you will need to get your ID from the Competition Administrator  by emailing hyettpeter@hotmail.co.uk
