Image Makers Group
The Group is led each month by John Perriam who also provides an Agenda around a week before the due meeting. Everyone is welcome to join, its an opportunity to ask questions and get answers.
We meet in The Pilgrim Room behind Glenorchy Chnurch at 7.30 pm on a Tuesday. All meeting dates are on the main Winter Programme. The cost is £4 each visit to cover room hkire and refreshments (please bring your own mug)
The dates for season 2025 - 2026 are 14th October, 11th November, 9th December, 13th January, 10th February, 10th March, 14th April. and on Wednesday 29ih April the Image Makers Group will be showing some of their work to the Photo Group.
Below is a typical agenda for an evening which is usually in two parts.
PART 1
1. Prints – Open and Challenge.
Please bring a print or two (or more) if you are able, they do not need to be mounted. Share ones you’ve enjoyed making or those for critique, discussion or advice from the group, including the “challenge” and any work in progress, etc.
2. Open Digital
Please send JohnP your digital images, for sharing / discussion amongst the Group.
PART 2
3. Monthly challenge (digital).
Each month we have a challenge to take or make an image on a particul
ar theme, subject or technique with results shared the following month. A few examples from the past include: the Orton Effect, Buildings / streets with a Difference, Lakes and Ponds, Creative Shutter Speed, the Adamski Effect.
4. Talk/Project
If anyone has a short talk, project or work in progress they’d like to share (time permitting).
Please let John know by the deadline.
5. Challenge for next time:
This is where the challenge for the forthcoming month is set.
6. One to One help / demonstrations
As usual our volunteer helpers are available to help you with developing specific skills and techniques on a one to one basis: These are Sheila Haycox, Ian Bateman, John Wkickett, Chaz Madge, Peter Hyett, Maurice Chittock, Mike Gillan and John Perriam.
Please Note: Send your digital images to John by midnight on the Sunday before the next Tuesday meeting (unless otherwise stated).
Please attach the images to your email rather than embedding them. They should be sized in the normal way for club projection (i.e. 1600 pixels wide (max) x 1200 pixels high (max)
