Wildlife Photography by David White
A little bit about David White. He grew up in the countryside of the Cotswolds, & its where he gained his lifelong interest in the natural world. He retired to East Devon 15 years ago & taught himself aspects of digital photography relevant to photographing wildlife.
In 2018 he entered the BBC Countryfile Calendar Competition. His photo of a family of polecats was awarded both the judges favourite & the viewers overall competition winner.
Brief overview of talk, which is still being developed; will be split into two parts:
1st Otters, beavers & other mammals including the polecat family.
2nd Birds. Many birds use the estuary, river & surrounding areas. These may be resident, summer or winter visitors, or passage migrants.
He will include three challenging birds in flight species; that is the peregrine falcon, hobby & swift. I also plan to include some interesting bird behaviours too.
