Members' Sites and Photography Links
Exmouth Photo Group is not responsible for the content of any external sites. Following any link on this page is done at your own risk.
A lot members have been receiving unsolicited phone calls from people pretending to be from a legitimate company (Microsoft, Dell, etc. or bizarrely even "Windows") and claiming that our computers have been logging errors. DO NOT BELIEVE THESE CALLERS. They are hoax calls from criminals. Under no circumstances should you pass them any personal details or allow them any access to your computer.
If you receive one of these calls (known as "phishing"), please take a few moments to report it to "Action Fraud" so that the scale of this criminal act can be better understood by the authorities. You could be helping to prevent some other poor soul from being conned.
We don't recommend you try the following but we enjoyed a tale from one of our members who realised immediately what the call was. He strung them along for 36 minutes before telling the girl on the phone that he didn't have an Internet connection. Classic!
